Compounding medication is the process of creating personalized medications to meet individual needs. At Hill’s Drug Store we are able to create custom compounds for a wide variety of patients & circumstances including – pediatric, dental, sports injury, post-surgical, chronic and auto-immune pain, even veterinary ‘clients’.
There are so many circumstances where a custom-compounded medication is the best fit.
For instance, some people may have difficulty swallowing pills or capsules, and may prefer their medication in a different form, such as a liquid, cream, or even a lollipop. Some patients can not tolerate an oral medication and respond more comfortably to topical/transdermal applications.Some commercially produced medications may contain allergens or may have been discontinued by the manufacturer or may only be available in a dose not suited to your needs. Custom-compounding can be a great option to work around any of these obstacles.
